At Lakelands Primary School, we are committed to providing a high-quality education that equips students with the knowledge, skills and character they need to thrive in an ever-changing world. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to deliver engaging, evidence-informed teaching programs that build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and personal development. Through our whole-school approach to Explicit Instruction, the Science of Reading and our Maths Trek program, students develop the confidence and capability to become successful learners. Our teaching programs are carefully planned to ensure every child experiences success and continues to make strong academic growth.

Student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We proudly partner with The Resilience Project, embedding the principles of Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness throughout our school. These values help our students develop resilience, positive relationships and the social and emotional skills needed to flourish both inside and outside the classroom.

Lakelands Primary School has developed a strong reputation as a high-performing public school. Our students consistently achieve outstanding academic growth, with recent NAPLAN results exceeding those of similar schools across multiple assessment areas. While we celebrate these achievements, our focus remains on ensuring every student continues to improve regardless of their starting point.

We recognise that successful schools are built on strong partnerships between home and school. Families are encouraged to play an active role in their child’s education, and we value open, respectful communication. We use Compass as our primary communication platform, providing families with easy access to news, attendance, reports, events and important school information.

Beyond the classroom, students enjoy a wide range of opportunities including specialist programs, leadership development, sporting competitions, performing arts, cultural events and community celebrations. These experiences help students discover their strengths, build confidence and develop a genuine love of learning.
