COVID-19 Lakelands PS Community Update Friday 3rd April 2020

The staff at Lakelands PS hope this post finds you and your family safe and well.

Once again staff would like to thank the Lakelands PS families for all your support in keeping the children safe away from school where possible.

The school will again be open in Week 10 to continue to provide supervision for those students who cannot be kept at home. These students will be supervised in the Science room with a relief teacher.

As a continuation of the preparation and prevention phase of managing the spread of COVID-19 staff may be rostered to work from home, on work related tasks in support of social distancing measures.

Our families have begun to communicate via our on-line learning platform Seesaw with growing success. This is the best way to communicate with your child’s teacher.

Hard copy work packages for the first two weeks of Term 2 will be made available for collection from the office on Tuesday 28th April. These work packages will be available for those families who have not connected with their classroom teacher on-line via Seesaw.

There will be no canteen facilities available in Week 10.

Due to our changing environment there is no clear direction as to how long this will last, so we are planning for two weeks of learning at a time. We will keep you posted via Facebook and Seesaw as we are updated.

Stay Safe
